Yeah it’s another seasonal title, because I like to pretend that I’m consistent. Considering how long it’s been since my last blogpost it’s clear that I’m actually anything but.
OK, boring stuff first: I recently changed the font on all the website pages, (with the exception of the blog) cause the old one sucked, so it should be way easier to read everything now. I’ve finished editing Heat Stroke, and Echo too (after rewriting several scenes, including the whole ending, as well having its name changed for the third time).
At the moment I’m refocusing on the Sandformer, which I’ve now officially been working on for over four years (current word count is around 139,000 words, or nearly 260 A4-sized pages). Planned out some worldbuilding stuff over the holiday season that would allow me to have some sequels as well, though I don’t know if I would ever want to.
I’ve also been polishing up my outline for the next Stroker, which will be novella length and will chronologically take place after Heat Stroke. I’ve done a little bit of work on some side projects too, sort of proof-of-concept pieces more than actual stories, which will probably never come close to anything resembling completion.
In other news, I had a successful Christmas holiday, during which I swam in the ocean, climbed some sand dunes, got shat on by a seagull, rode a swan, got sick of my relatives, ate all the food, put some stickers on a wall, had a burger that was apparently better, and saw a bunch of geothermal weirdness. Pics of most of that are on my instagram, and there’s probably some on my twitter too (shameless plug alert).
That’s it for now, see you in 2019 when I next remember to post something.
